Even in retirement, Fred Martichuski still makes time to visit Vince's on Sunset. Photo by Bailey Jo Josie/Sound Publishing. Though he's recently retired, Fred Martichuski, 70, still can't shake his love for the restaurant business. 'If we could just cook food and talk to the guests, I would do it until I'm 100,' he said. For over 50 years, Martichuski served the South Sound area with some fine Italian dining, primarily at Vince's Italian Restaurant and Pizzeria on Sunset in Renton. Born to a Polish-American family in Minnesota, Martichuski moved to Washington state as a young child, where he grew up working in the food industry.
